and that's how we get off topic.

ah, here's a suggestion....what time is the track open till? could a Tuesday arvo track day be organised? say from 5:30 till the sun defies us? or does it close before then, obviously there's no lights.

D I dunno if we're teaching safe riding here (we support it, and will advise if something was fucking stupid) but far more basic than that, more like...relax shoulder, look through corner, be smooth, we're not teaching knee down, peg weights and qualifying/race/defensive lines (we have bucket racing for that)

    edit:

    EDIT!!!

I think there's a difference between riding safely and a few tips on how to ride more enjoyably, riding safely is something you have to do yourself it's up to the integrity of the rider and their judgment, and can only be taught by a very skilled person, however I think we can offer practical tips for riding, I know I learn better in practise rather than reading about it on the internet.

I mean there's already a hundred pages on how to ride, but that's just words, this is a practical opportunity to ask opinions about the merits of technique and test them out. yes on the road.

From my experience see below (note I am not involved with these things I just attend them!):

$50 for the day. You need full leathers, boots, gloves etc. As far as I know you need not be a member of anything.
Your bike should be prepped as per a HAGD with mirrors off (or taped), lights and indicators taped, side stand zip tied and free of any leaks. Its up to you ensure your bike is safe.
The track is generally open from 9.00am till sometime late in the afternoon. You are sharing time with race cars/karts etc and the car club runs it 30min turn about.
This morning we ran 4x 30min sessions from 9.30-12.30.

Sometimes they will close the track to bikes if it is booked for specific car practice etc so it pays to ring a coupla days in advance before heading out.

I kinda figured we'd start that as of Jan. Just cause of the disruption that the next 2 weeks will cause. We should pick a route though (don't leave it to me, I wasn't kidding when I said I wanted to back off from "facilitation", I know it kind of seems like it though and now I'm just rambling. I hear Santa's going to make an appearance tomorrow night)
