Thanks for that Flip I might just follow you next time. Its a lot easier for me to follow someone

He doesn't care as long as you fly in making a huge amount of "look at me" noise, (looking like a biker is fine) give him a small gift, a couple of nice words about how well he is doing, and a hug.

The same will go for his 21st ... start out like you mean to go on.

    missing you Helen!

Make sure it isn't over filled with oil. I rode one with a litre too much, even hammering down through the box wouldn't get it over 10000rpm

Won't be along this week either due to bike fixing and work, but all things going well I shall be there this coming week. So try not to have too much fun.

And you can always get the ride to park up outside the window of St Martins New World, if you should feel so compelled. No, really, I won't mind!

We have something in the works. I've been too lazy to sort out all the routes but a route and map will be up today for tomorrow night.

    Route for this week

Old Tai Tap to Gebbies Loop

Destination: The Twisted Hop - Poplar Lane off Tuam Street between Manchester & Madras

    Re-group Points:
    1. In Halswell after turning left onto Halswell rd.
    2. Outside the Wheatsheaf Tavern in Teddington.
    3. In Lyttleton on Norwich Qy before heading over Evans Pass

We'll also get someone at the front of the group to stop on the corner of Old Tai Tapu Road as not everyone knows where this is.

Link to the Google Map here

This route is fairly quick and straight for the first part until heading through Gebbies Pass, where it gets a little more interesting. For those who don't want to ride so far they can head straight over Dyers Pass, rather than going all the way to Sumner. Of course you'll be expected to have beer waiting for the rest of us at the pub if you choose to do this
