I rekon buy a new CRF and find a CR500 motor for your old frame.A bit of work involved but would be dam cool.
Have the cases gone too bad for a repair weld? I tig welde my kx crankase and it came up mint - got it to seal perfectly as well - got those pics?
Whether you think you can or cant - you will always be right.
Crankcase parts were equally two metres either side of the bikes. Would have been an impossible jigsaw puzzle. Cheers for the idea tho.
That'd be nice. Was going to just part it out and forget about it. But this came up.
May have found a complete lower engine unit for $360. With most of the important parts from my old engine for spares if anything needs replacing. Fingers crossed.
Still need a cylinder unit tho. Cos mine has a big conrod shaped dent in it.

Would you take my bits of crf 450 for a trade in?
Definately learnt my lesson and will buy a bike like yours next time.
Bought a lower end 450 engine today for $630. Have a complete ish set of spares too so should be good once assembled. Bit of a project but ah well.
Just looking forward to getting dirty again!!!!!!!
