So which one of you is it that gets on the motorway at Takapuna in the pm and does wheelies in traffic? Black DRZ400sm with black/blue Shift leathers. I've seen you a couple of times this week, obviously wishing you could ride over the cars.

Wheelies in traffic, that's so irresponsible!

He should be doing stoppies instead....

PS: Not me, 'coz I'm overseas, lol...

    More mods

Thought I would resuscitate this thread with two more mods added to my SM. Screen, tacho and rack I posted before (here).

    Since then I have added:
    1) A wider, softer seat. Bought an old (2002 I think) seat off a DRZ400E from a wrecker - same part number as '08 SM. Stripped off the cover, made up a wider butt section with flat bar and a welder then took it to an upholsterer to foam up and cover. Heaps improved over the original.

    2) Bash plate. This was made by KBer GPCustom. Well made, nice to fit and a good price. He added some nice touches with it being polished etc.

I'm not thinking of doing much more to it - although tougher engine side covers (Thumper Talk) seem a good idea. Do the new DRZs throw cam chains? And has anyone thought that the manual cam tensioner is a good idea (was one on TM a few weeks back - anyone here buy it

    Quick action Twist Grip

You can buy very high quality extruded and machined quick action twist grip through your local bike shop - Zeta make them.
Me and a mate have got them.
About $60 and they come with a alloy end bung and o ring.
