Might be alright for a bucket racer. Any performance bits available?
I think those wheels are pretty trick.
Apologies if I am wrong. I simply googled "gt250r dry weight" and used the first link returned:
http://www.bikez.com/motorcycles/hyo...t250r_2007.php
Dry weight: 126.0 kg (277.8 pounds)
Wikipedia isn't actually a factual database - it's user updated and contains much that is apocryphal or at least wildly innaccurate.
I would suspect such a beastie to cost more than NZ$8,000 plus shipping add another NZ$2,000 then there's all the compliancing, ORC etc. This is great - you are obviously made of money....but then why are you riding a GT650R?
Any consideration of the Kawasaki Ninja250R? It has a low seat height too.
Get a Ninja 250r..
You know you want one..
That bikerz website rates it a lot higher than the hyosung 250.
http://www.bikez.com/bike/rating.php?idbike=26316
vs
http://www.bikez.com/bike/rating.php?idbike=25045
Heres the Yamaha, too:

It's better and off road and track racing apparently! Useful.
I read that they are "restricted".I can't imagine WHY someone might restrict a 125cc engine, but I expect they can be UN restricted quite easily.
Hey no worries. I appreciate the input.
In this case, 4 or 5 other sites agree with it, and one does not. Which makes wikipedia correct, the the odd site out - incorrect.
You link a mere suspicion to an irrational conclusion sooo quickly. This week I will have prices to compare. I will post these in this thread. Yes, the GT650R was cheap. I paid $6k with 921km on the clock. Yes, you read that correctly. After 15,000km I haven't put a spanner on it. Do the math.
No, she doesnt like or want it.
naw she doesn't like or want the 250r. Thanks for the yamaha link.

Nice Idea DB. Go for it.
And for the record , GT250R is 169kg DRY and 190kg with fluids, so DB you are right your daughter would have trouble if she starts with a large bike like that.
I've always known the Hyosung 250 to be a heavy bike I just want people to stop saying things like "Wikipedia sez so it MUST be true" *sigh* now I remember why you were on ignore...as you were.
Do it man looks awesome ay...very nice!!
ok looks like they can be brought in for 5K ish. I can get a VERY tidy GT250R for this though. We'll see what she says when she gets her license.

You know that just because Edgecombe is "International" buying from Hamilton isnt exactly importing right???
It sounds like she will say "waaaaaa waaaa there's a bike on top of me because you were too tight and brought me a HoBag thats too big and heavy for me"
