    The Sandpit today (31 Aug)

Shit what an awesome day. Perfect weather for a ride and bugger all people off the main trails. Think they broke there record today with over 300 people. Hey Reckless think you were parked just up from us, went to say hi at the end of the day but you were just heading out for another ride. My body very tired now and cant wait for bed.

Yeah man was all good today. Car parks were full as, had a look when ridin past but couldn't see anyone's rides. But yeah hardly anyone on the blues & reds, kinda surprising. I'm leaning right back and getting some air on the whoops now, sweet . Same amount of misc slow speed crashes tho haha.

Yeah next to a green easy up full of Hondas...hard to miss me in the bright blue and white pants(new gear,it was so bright i couldn't bring myself to wear the matching shirt.,hahaha).............yeah we saw that ute and when the guy on the yellow Gas Gas pulled up we wondered if that was Ruppecop, but after approaching a few people during the day and saying"are you so and so off Kiwibiker" and getting strange looks and a "no" i thought........nah

    320 riders I heard.
The guys have been putting in lots of new tracks, some real tight ones that have me thinking of trading in the RM250 and getting something smaller like an SX150. Only problem is that only the 200EXC or a 125EXC have the wide ratio box with the small motor.
Nice work to all the track makers. Had fun out there on Friday.

Twice the displacement, twice the cost and a decibel problem, I'll pass on the inside brraaaap!!!

I bet your using a water blaster. They tend to just blow the sand around. I find a quick squirt with the hose, a spray of Dynamo, another squirt and a dry and she is done as far as cleaning sand and any dirt goes. Heck I only bother doing that even if I have some maintenance planed like an oil change, other wise the sand thats on the bikes stays on until the next ride. I find I can go many rides without even needing to wash the bike after riding in the sand unless I've been riding in mud as well.

Nah gave up on water blaster years. Was doing an oil change and as it was a sunny day thought id clean it properly just got pissed that after all that time cleaning oil change etc etc put it away and walked back in garage later and spotted more sand. Just part of riding in sand i guess.
