Well yes ALWAYS wear your gear, but I failed miserably today, I rode into Hamilton to check out some stuff got into town and was dripping in sweat, thought fuck it Im riding in my T Shirt, and did so ! very bad, I rode particulary carefully and MAN IT WAS GOOD !!!!!

Riding through Ponsnobby or along Tamaki drive in the summer wearing jeans, trainers and t-shirt only (excepting of course, the helmet, which is required by law) - 'Liberating'.

I know, I know, I know, blah blah blah wear your safety gear, and I normally do.

But occasionally you even get to shift a bike from one end of a carpark to another, and you wear your helmet on your arm - 'Even more liberating'.

hay El Dopa good to hear you are ok ish. sorry to hear about the side, I low sided a scooter in some sand in thailand wearing summer weight trouser and shirt with no gloves... not fun.

So guess u learnt now when ever you see loose surfaces, be very very very careful.

hopefully the bike is not too hard to fix, sounds bad for a lowish speed bin.

The damage appears to be less bad than first expected. With a bit of luck, It'll boil down to a replacement bulb for the indicator. The rest I can hopefully patch up with a bit of spit and chewing gum. I would ideally like someone who knows what they're looking at to check the forks/handlebars/steering head and tell me I'm worrying about nothing.

Actually, I'd better get my arse in the gargre and get on with it.
