    BMW plug

Hi. I have a 1993 BMW R1100RS for which I have purchased an aftermarket
1 amp battery charger. I am trying to obtain the special plug that goes into
the charging port on the bike, so I can connect the charger.
    Can anyone help?

This is the guy on Trade Me but doesn't look like he has any for sale at present, might be worth contacting though:

I assume you've tried your BMW dealer? these are/were available as a genuine accessory. Failing that just Google 'Accessory Plug Adapter - BMW' and you'll find a number of shops overseas that could mail order one if you can't locate one here. Or try Ebay: http://shop.ebay.com/items/_W0QQ_nkw...romZR40QQ_mdoZ

If you dont need to get the oridginal item then get a male and female plug from DSE, make sure they cant be pluged in the wrong way around, on purpose or accidently, ( this will fry your charger if this happens) it will be just two wires on the female socket on the bike.

Just remembered - these are actually made by Hella for BMW, so any Hella stockist should stock them or be able to order one in (BNT are Hella agents).
Pretty sure I have also seen a knock off version at Jaycar Electronics.

I think I saw them in SuperCheap Auto the other day.
They are a standard pattern Euro power plug. I got mine for my Beemer from the dealers at the time.
