Thumbs up New steed for me

Got offered a deal I couldn't refuse 2wks ago, traded my 2005 KTM Super Duke with 50,000k's (all done by me) on a runout 2007 Super Duke, the sweetner was they threw in $3500 worth of Akrapovic Evo can's, nice
Anyways, there's a few refinements from the 05, number one being I now have 18.5ltrs vs 15ltrs, now this I can live with. They've improved the fuelling & apparently the fuel economy, nice again. Have increased the rake which is very noticable (makes it more stable in the twisties @ speed) & improved the suspension, all where obvious by the time I'd ridden from Auckland to Rangariri (sp), Also the seating positon feels to be more relaxed, they've changed the front mask & speedo & rev counter aswell, no more orange lunch box up front for me.
Had her first service last Friday so she's all mine now, rev's & all. All my bolt on bling from the 05 bolted straight on, even the 05's gel seat & tank bag, noice.
Long story short, very happy camper, so thanks Bruce @ AMPS for sorting this deal out & making the transition soo easy !!!

Have to update my profile piccy with a more apporpriate arty shot, just need for the weather to improve to get the required background.
One thing though, it comes with Dunlop 208RR's & the bloody things are balling up on the road, not going to last long @ this rate. Saying that the original Diablo on the 05 was toast @ 3000k's

A wider grin & the carbon fibre end caps goes with the new bling front guard (long story but a mate of mine bought it for his 950 Super Motard but it made a horrible vibrating noise @ certain revs so a straight swap for my original plastic one, noice)

Nice deal! They chew up the 18.5 litres quick enough, I'd hate to think what it's like with the 15L

I wasn't keen on the D208's and am currently trying a Conti sport attack front and road attack rear combo. I'm a lot happier than with the 208's, but still room for improvement. I spotted a 2008 model the other day and I think they're on Pirelli rubber now.

The Evo can's are nice. I just love the soundtrack from them

Yeah I'm more than happy with it, As you say they chew up the 18.5ltrs but nothing like 15ltrs,worse case senario was 154k's dry, fuel light on @ 109k's so the extra 3ltrs should give me between 35-50k's. My 05 came orginally with Pirelli Diablo's (christ I went through 11 rears on my 05). The sound from the Evo's is definately different than the round Akrapovics I had on the 05.

Gremlin I've test ridden the RC8 AMPS have got a demo 990 SM happening now (it's orange) & a Black 990 for sale, looks far better in black than orange (but hey I'm Biased)

Black or nothing really, they certainly look sharper than the 2007 950. Tell Bruce I let you know they had a demo, saying that I was there last Friday & I think they where still running her in. Didn't have their big demo bike sticker on it yet !!!
