I know someone who ordered a hugger through a shop, who helped him order it, and when it turned out to be for the wrong model of bike it was "tough luck" - policy was once somethign was ordered it's the customers issue.

With that sort of thing - why bother with the shops?

Here's my dilemma. I want some Yoshi tri-ovals in stainless for the busa. Quoted NZ$2300 from a local bike shop, with an 8 week lead time.

They are currently on E-bay for US$475, US$50 shipping, on my doorstep in 8 days.

When I look at it, it's not really a dilemma is it?

Clearly 3 times the price is a bitter pill to swallow. Out of interest, what would you consider a fair price to pay if you were to buy one from a local distributor? (assuming it was a weeks wait like the US sourced one, i.e. they drop shipped it).
