Castlepoint road is mint. The conditions were a bit crap but that's the luck of the draw.

Rightio! Went for a bit of a scoot to manfield last Sunday. Went over the saddle road and had a bit of fun, then a no nonsense straight through spin to the track. Chatted away the day to loads of old acquaintances. Right at the end, Meanie, 86 and NZSarge showed up. Lance, Meanie and Chanceyy scooted for home, Sarge went off to watch motogp which left 86 and I to go for a pootle.
I followed 86 to Ashhurst, then I led over the saddle road. My rear tyre started spinning out of right hand turns, a bit of a worry when I only have 75 to 80 hp at most. We stopped on a corner with a view of the eastern side and the tyre looked a bit sad, depressed even! I took up 86 kind offer of a ride on his Tiger and thoroughly enjoyed my ride down to Woodville on it...very comfy and I was really suprised how fast it whipped through the revs being a triple and all! Over all...very impressive!
Anyways, back to earth with a thump and off home I went on the 750. Coming a long my road the tyre was giving really, REALLY bizarre feed back, even though I was in limp mode. It felt as if it were flat (it wasn't) and the tyre was rolling over the edge of the rim!!! I've never felt anything quite like it. Anyways, I've been busy running the groover over 2 sets of tyres and now have a tough decision to make, hmmm Dunlops or Pirellis????![]()
I'm quite disappointed you haven't considered quality nylon![]()
I managed 492 km so far this weekend beginning on the Friday ride. Accompanied Sarah to Wellie at 7.00 am yesterday morning! Wet and VERY gusty. The Tiger is soooo bloody comfortable though, nothings a problem. Breakfast with Mum, then a quick scoot around town (god, it's a day trip to even get round the bays these days in Wellie, bloody traffic) then Hutt motorway, Haywards, and Piecock Hill. EXTREMELY windy up there but at least I was blown away from the precipice and not over it lol.
Got to Shannon for a quick stop and notice a message from Garry that there's a trip to the Umutoi MC headquarters to check on the battered occupants.
Had a nice run out there (god that road is BRILLIANT) confirmed there were no deaths and that the mightly Daytona will rise again
Followed up with a very relaxed leisuerly cruise back to Ashhurst then home
No riding today though, man, is it wet or what!
