Bikes are like women - ride them hard and change them often

So, I am feeling the urge to change my ride again.... WHY? I love bike shopping.... WHY? Because I bloody can!

Life changes have left me with less and less time to ride or go on long rides and commuting because I am acquiring a company car with an ever more time demanding career (it's apparently a Honda would you believe...... sheez.....)

.... AND we have a second baby due next Feb (Mitch just turned 1 - a full on 'laugh a minute' kid and a true Daddy's boy who loves anything on wheels and bikes) ...

The work and family demands on my time mean it's better for me to just go out for quick hoons about the countryside rather than the big cruises I have been into since I bought the M109R in Dec 2006 prior to which I rode sportsbikes.

    So, these are the options:

    Stick with the M109R

    Change to this.....

Im in a similar position & am a week about single dad, own business & all that & im finding that my life now suits a quick fang on Sunday arvo on the RSV1000 rather than all weekend away on a fully loaded BMW R100rs.
You just have to do whats working for you at the time.
Im hoping my next phase will be adventure riding on a big KTM or BMW.

I'd emphasise the '500cc smaller engine' angle.

    Also, the additional sheep-dodging capabilities.

The choice is personal, but in your case you need to be there for the young ones, and survival is all about headspace. If you want to hoon around as you say, you will take risks on the Hayabuse that you would not contemplate on the 109, your choice, your risk, your family.

Well said, but Toaster knows from experience the results of coming off either are equally risky. Cruiser vs sport? - of course the urge to hoon on the busa will be more tempting (or dare I say, more possible..... lol) than the 109 but it all comes down to calculated risk, and injuries can be equally serious coming off either.

Well Toaster - it sure would be a shame to see you get rid of that lovely 109... but Im a Cruiser fan so the Busa does NOTHING for me.

Whatever you do - choose the bike that you want. Im hoping that your not going to let a Poll decide for you. Just out of curiosity... how much for the evil twin???
