    TrailTech vapour speedo for streetfighter

    Hi,

I've just purchased an R1 streetfighter that needs its speedo replaced. I've seen a few people saying they are using the Vapour speedo on their street fighters but I thought they only worked on 1 cylinder engines...and I need it to work on a 4 cylinder engine.

Does anyone know what model does work? Tried searching but get conflicting results.

    Cheers!

NOTE: I decided for my touring I'd get the best of both worlds...pure sports bike performance, with some MX bars to make it easier on the wrists

Yep... seen em on SVs, RGVs and GSXRs... so that's a pretty broad type of engine configs

Thinking of getting one for my RGV, but one project at a time...

just picked mine up, will let ya know how it goes.

Was looking at the KOSO RX-2 (damn nice), but for half the price I decided to go with the Vapor.

Any one tried hooking up the Vapor so it runs off the factory speed wire? (2002 R1). Would love to do that instead of running the sensor on the front wheel (I mean, you can't tell how fast you are going when wheeling down the road...what were they thinking).

The KOSO gear is a bit Star Wars looking imho, but then the Vapors are a little cheap looking, although they're not bad looking with the billet surround

After that, you're starting to get into $1200 units with graphical displays and stufff... bit much for my little RGV heh.
