Y'mean the Honda's exhaust pipe? The Hondas' reputation?

This has been mentioned before and I think it all dates back to the advertising campaign "You meet the nicest people on a Honda" at a time when bikes were symbolic of the bad boy image. Hence Hondas were nice and everybody else was nasty which has degenerated to Hondas are gay (mainly coming from Suzuki riders I must say).

I contemplate this often as I ride my Ducati to a cafe and sip cappuccino while chewing thoughfully on a croissant.....

Other than being one of the finest makers of motorcycles available - absolutely NOTHING.

But then that's just my opinion.

Without Honda there would not be any GSXR, ZXR, R1's, MV's they are all just improved copies of the 1969 750/4 Honda.

Cue the rim-licking, butt pounding 'gay' jokes now.......

Some people don't like Harleys but they are wrong too.

Absolutely nothing wrong with them at all.

Honda owners manuals used to start with an opening line of ....
" Hello good rider " cool aye

Sort of follows on from " You meet the nicest people on a Honda " .

My mate Robbie recons that Hondas are the corollas of the bike world, they function well but bore him to death and do nothing outstanding.
Just because he can afford a 1098 dont mean hes clever.

Someone probably put up a post about Hondas and a Gixxer rider told them it was gay and all his buddies joined in and the next thing you know all Hondas are gay on KB.....I'm not aware of the same phenomenon on other bike sites..I sometimes have a look at overseas forums and I think the gay Honda thing is particular to KB.

Thats just suzuki riders bleating cos they are on inferior machines & have no life.

Hondas are gay basically because they are bullet proof... at the end of the day nothing wrong with any bike (except the odd Chinese model)

There's nothing wrong with Hondas but.. put it this way. I still remember the first time I rode an airhead BMW or a Guzzi or a GSXR750 but I cannot remember my first ride on a Fireblade. Or the Blackbird.
