The inability to see motorbikes is spreading to the children

i was riding down the road past a school and one of thoes kids holding thoes lollypop signs swung it out as i was travelling over the crossing right in front of him nearlying taking me off the bike.

it seems that not only do the parents in their suvs have a problems seeing us therefore running us off the road their kids do as well.

    will the horror never end

ride in the right hand 'wheel line' and the lollipops dont come out that far.

Then you can just go between them.

Not really the point is it?

Did you stop to tell the 'observing' adult mate?
If the kids not told to do his duty properly, next biker/scooter rider gets taken out

And the kid as well, but yeah the biker probably contributes more to society than the kid so I'd worry about them more.

Crazy kids these days, probably couldn't judge your speed.

Even motorcyclists (just like everybody else) have the same inattention problems as well... http://www.wanganuichronicle.co.nz/l...ision/3906571/

Stop with the "us and them" bullshit.

I can imaging it now - some 7 year old kid talking to his mate over instant messenger:

"yeah - I made a biker shit himself tonight - I waited till I could see the white of the fuckers eyes - then wham - out with the lollipop of death".

    or more seriously:

They are kids leaving school - there are not many places where you should be riding any more carefully and self defensively.

If the kids dont get ya, moms in a hurry will run you over in the 4x4's.

yeh I got hit by a waterballoon at 55k's by some little punks.
By the looks on their faces I'd say they realised what a stupid thing they had done just after it hit me.
Amazingly though it bounced to the ground.
    Could have been worse

Young children (such as primary school) don't really have developed enough skills to handle the timing of traffic. Hence they have to be supervised by an adult when operating the crossing. So when the child gave the verbal indication they were going to move the sign, the supervising adult should have instructed the child to wait.

You'll notice they can't get drivers licences either.

    Just a maturity thing.

I nearly got suspended from primary school because i refused to do the lollipop signs

Not because I thought id be bad at it.

But because I thought, i dont get paid to do this job, teachers do.

I had a pair of wee shites do that to me, but the water balloon also travelled on and hit my twins in the back seat...both babies still. I parked the car and they (kids) had left hose going, so I filled up all their shoes on the lawn with water
It is entirely possible to teach an old blond new tricks!!!
