This is more relevant though... the point of what to do would be moot if:
    a) you avoided the situation
    b) he ran you over instead of pulling over

    Really I will do this

I'll do all of em above

Try and reason with the "fellow"
Ask and try to negotiate. If that fails...

    Drop/Deck him
    Drop him...

    ...and then

Get on your bike and ride off
    Ride away!

Wet yourself thinking this might hurt
Then wet myself later... I would be happy if the Plan 1 succeeds, but if my plan 2 fails, then I'll just move onto Plan 4

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

That has to be the best emoticon ever!! I'll need to remember that...

Yeah, on hindsight, you both have gear on, helmets etc... Push comes to shove, I'm not sure he has much chance... as demonstrated...

I wouldn't have gesticulated though... Wise old me... probably drop behind him and ridden the rest of the way with my high beam on. Or wait for a clear straight and take out his wing mirror on the way past.

I wouldn't have gesticulated, or put my high beam on, or attacked a wing mirror. I would have just waved him past at the first convenient time and let him go on his merry way. It's just not worth the potential risk of death to rark up other road users when you are vulnerable on 2 wheels while they are in a cage.

It is only IF it got to the point where we were both stopped and he got out of the car and was trying to attack me that I would have responded with whatever level of violence I was able to bring to bear -

Gee I think I am the only female offering an opinion and that is the same as most have said already.

You are past the point of no return, you could try reasoning but that would depend on the size of him compared to you...I voted to deck him.

I had a road rage incident not so long ago and if I had kept my temper and not given the guy the bird I might not have had to ride off in fear for my life...

But that said... there is a time when getting the first shot in works wonders. My ex was riding along minding his own business ( just around the corner from home ) when a car with 3 dickheads in it thought it would be funny to try and force him off the road. BIG mistake. They had to stop at the next intersection and J pulled up beside them, didn't even get off his bike, just turned and smashed his fist thru the drivers window actually connecting with the drivers head. The 2 passengers uttered very un-macho squeals and jumped out of the car, taking off down the road...the driver didn't move as J calmly put the bike into gear and took off.

He reckoned he was so angry at the time that he didn't feel a thing but by the end of the day his hand was blacknblue! and bloody sore LOL. I'll bet those dudes thought twice about fucking with a bad-ass biker again...Not that I'm condoning violence but sometimes A-holes need to be taught a lesson.

Carry a small handfull of old nuts and bolts in your jacket pocket.
While riding ahead of arsehole, sprinkle said nuts and bolts in your wake.

At 100k they should take out radiator, windscreen, headlights, etc.

("must have been some shit layin on the road, eh?")
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.

I had a mate who ended up lying on the road while a courier banged his helmet up and down on the road. (His head was still in the helmet at the time).

I forget what happened after. (i.e. if he went to court or anything...)

    I think I'm in love...

Wouldn't it have been embarrassing if the window held and he ended up with a sore hand right there?!?! Of course, that wouldn't have happened with the real man that he is!!

Your mate obviously isn't anything like buellbabe's ex...

There is a very good reason he is an ex... the word pyscho springs to mind but I must admit that I gave him the thumbs up for that particular choice of action.
