Another desk jockey here, I run my own biz with a mate selling imported stuff on trademe. Was thinking about selling some chinese bikes but after getting more biking knowledge probably not for awhile

Hey man think I have Reumatoid Arthritis too, thought I had RSI but keeps getting worse and looks like the same symptons. Sux, do you take any meds for it?

Least I get to pack up stuff so don't have to be on the computer all day.

What a trooper, have often wondered what i'd do if i was to suffer some injury/illness that affected my riding/physical fitness. would be hard but can't imagine it. Seen some shit on a dude riding the dakar without the use of his legs and heard stories of one armed dirt bike riders, jeez, we don't know how lucky we are aye?

Were all slaves to the World Bank(or to the people who lease the currencies off them-the government, more growth - more debt) at the end of the day.
I suppose its a case of enjoy as much as we can.Trouble is - it's us that votes them in!! We need to find a really rugged island that has a supply of petrol and 2T oil but no govt lol!

Private hospital maintenance (chippie by trade). I've just worked 12 straight days....Got home utterly (love that word) stuffed yesterday and slept for 13 hrs last night.....Think I might be overdoing it a tad....Heart attack on it's way??? But this weekend's all mine...............

Three of us riding, one racing. How else does average family man earn enough? Prostitution's out, I'd have to pay my clients....

Ha ha great reading all these posts……………..

I work for an Energy and Boiler Service company, managing their Auckland Branch. We cover the area from Taupo north. Mostly desk bound and like others spending way to much time working.

Made a plan this year to make sure I go riding every month……..only way you can make it happen sometimes.

    Architectural Designer:
Fancy name for a guy that designs and draws your additions and alterations! I use a 3d CAD program that can literally fly you through your new home or alteration. With carpets on the floor, pictures on the wall and the dining table set. I can generate 3d renders, roof off renders etc all with my laptop plugged into your flat screen TV in your lounge, so that's quite cool.
Its good for the client though means they really can see, and get what they want, rather than spending lots of extras changing consent plans or with the builder later changing the construction.
Most of my work in Howick, Pakuranga, Remuera, St Helliers etc. But I'll work anywhere.
So desk bound like most of you by the sound of it!
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '

Reading this makes you think we all work our arses of for what?

I was looking forward to going to the taranaki kb meet and then trail riding on sunday.
But no shit happens and i couldn't do either.
it feels like all i do is bloody work.
I am ranting on a bit because i am pissed off with the weekend just been.
ok the money is good and i can buy alot of the things i like and shit like that , but whats the point if i dont get the time to ride.
My kids are getting right into it now so any time spare i spend watchin them ride.
dont get me wrong i really enjoy watching them .
and planning for time off aint so easy for me as alot of variables happen for my job.
But i think it is a 2 edged sword if i done a different job with f all hours i may not have the disposable cash to buy bikes and stuff .
ok thats my whinge over.excuse me as i am a rwal grumpy mutha f^%$k last few days.
you watch next week i'll think i have one of the best jobs going around.
