    2stroke bike

Hey all, Im lookin for a 2stroke bike, havent had one for a while now but want to get back into riding. I have a budget of around 3500 to 4000 k what can I expect for this? I think a 250 would be fine for what I want. Whats the most reliable brand Honda, Kawa? Also if anyone knows any good dealers in the South Cant area let me know

What about this one: http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...d.php?t=81186? Fantastic bike to get back into riding as its lower than most modern 250's but it's still a real dirt bike not a wannabe. It's great for doing skills training with the trials type engine, but still can keep up with the crowd (unless they are MX skilled people). I was wanting around $4000 but would definately be open to offers.

Personally i'd go Honda or YAmaha. Both known for their reliability and great engineering plus japanese bikes are good for cheap easy to find parts. Suzuki seem ok too but from friends experience i would steer clear of Kwaka's (but thats just me).

Hmmm- I zoomed past 7 Hondas broken down on the last trail blazer on my 93 kdx250. I must have bought a goodie aye! Opinions are like belly buttons - we all have one. You go with what you find comfortable and easy to ride mate. And being an engineer - I reckon reliability at the end of the day boils down to how good you maintain your machine. Prevention is much cheaper than cure. (By the way - dont buy anything chinese with luxury tailpipes lol)
Whether you think you can or cant - you will always be right.

Even on the old ones if you dont race serious and you wanna just go do the odd club day and smoke everyone on a big old 5hundy it great and if you get beaten you have a handful of excuses
