    Bikers bleating about bikers

I've noticed an upsurge in this behaviour in the past 6 months. Much of it from those who were weekend wallies, and have now moved onto their bikes more full time - probably to save gas.

Maybe if you took more time checking your mirrors, or just minding your own business, then you wouldn't be having these 'problems' that you seem to having

    cases in point:

I've had motorcyclists come close to killing me that has had nothing to do with me not checking my mirrors.

    Remember - bikers kill bikers.

i've had plenty more dickheads in cars texting/eating/getting blowjobs try to kill me than bikes travelling faster/slower than me. some kids on here just need to HTFU. i know that bikers kill bikers, there's been a graphic demonstration of that amongst our own, and i don't intend discussing the whys and hows of that. we actually just need to accept that EVERYONE is out there trying to kill us, and make a decision: do we shutup and take responsibility for own own, and only our own actions, learn to live with the fact that others want to kill us, or just give up.

where do you sit, katman? your comments above seem to contradict your own signature

so if someone flies past you, you didn't see them coming, and they scare you causing you to have a moment, it's their fault?

I assume you're aware how fast someone travelling at speed can close on another vehicle.

(And I'm well aware of what you're trying to get me to say).

Today i rode back from Taupo via the Roturua lakes, and Edgecumb and tauranga. As we were coming down hill into a 45 km righ hand bend , a guy on a R1 coming the other way was overtaking another bike, on the wrong side of the road, MY SIDE!, A head on collision was only just advoided. He was fair travelling and almost lost control of the bike..........I dont normally bitch about other riders, but i have two kids, and my mate behind me has 4, we were both nearly cleared out, and to say i was a bit pissed off would be a understatment................do i need to say any thing more, and if it is some one on here......I am still shaking from the whole incident.

If it's not directly to them then whats the point?

You think that perhaps if a person doing that kinda crap reads a post on here, that as they come up behind you, about do do their reckless maneuvre that for some reason they might stop and go 'oh, wait they might have a winge on an internet forum about this'... I think not.

Truth is people like that only care about themselves, they do what they do because they believe it is safe for them and that is all that matters to them. Only real thing you can do is stay out of their way, or shoot them.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

    Be thankful it wasn't a car/van/truck/bus.

Your talking about me here aren't you? Well the reason i have posted a new thread about it, is that people may read it, and next time they think about doing something stupid they just don't.

I gues its no use to you unless he actually hit me, and we both ended up in wheel chairs for the rest of our lives, and then take pictures just to prove the point to you.

I'm fucking well aware that i cant change the world, but if you want me to stop complaining about some stupid riders, then you better shoot me. Or get your self a better forum.

As I've said in previous threads - it's about peer pressure.

It's largely how the attitude towards drink driving has been turned around.
