Just trying a few things out so when I get the money together for a newer bike (which will be a long while yet) I have a more formed opinion. I did like the 4 stroke, and the 450, but wouldn't say I'd caught the bug yet. I really want to try a ktm or gg 300, but if I got a ktm I'd have to hang out with the old farts!! Oh, and liked the feel of the husky 2strokes at spectrum.
Tried reckless 200 out at the weekend, and his is geared different to mine. More snap which I liked, but couldn't hold the gear for as long which I didn't like. So something to think about there too.
Anyway how far away is that ride up north?? Could be somewhere different?
Did this one last year. For anyone thinking about going, it really is a top notch ride and well worth the drive up there. Had one of those perfect days where everything slots into place, rode at best pace all day and couldn't put a foot wrong. Unforgetable.
Copy that on the humps and bumps but they sure make for some fun riding. I remember that guy who hit that tree as well. Put a decent big ding in it that should still be there. Great to pop out of the trees and onto the scrub land on the dunes as well. Superb place to be.
Hmmmmmm tempting. I don't really want a really late day out on Sunday. We did thunder last time and I think that the up north one is just too far away. Plus I'm not that rich at the moment...... Going to Oz in 5 weeks!!
You needed to be in third rupe, not second, but you where only on it a short time. It takes a while to learn the little thing will still pull like a 14 year old school boy even when it feels like its going to stall compared to a normal 2smoker. Second for 99% of climbs, even deep sand and third most everywhere else. Its surprising how much torque it has, and it'll still lift the front easily over those roots in third as well, no clutch needed. In fact i very seldom have to clutch it anywhere. Well thats all at my speed??? I'll give you another go next time!
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!
'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '
