Don't mess with the French Police

    See here

From distant experience they are a bit more tolerant towards bikes but then the local bikers were a trifle more radical than me

My God Owner and I were very lucky. God only know how much we would have had to pay in fines for driding down a highway hard shoulder the wrong way, non payment of highway tolls, speeding and other naughty things.

And here was I thinking that my lovely French neigbours were liassez-faire. My illusions of the French as being more accepting have been shattered!

I vote we send Dangerous Bastard there for an all expenses paid KBer holiday so he can try out his tried and true roadside manner with the French Constabulary!!

Good old Frenchies aye, some tough procedures there.

Road tolls are not that bad compared to the rip off that is Italy. The French give a discount for bikers!! And thier highways are superb!!!

About $3 per km, by sounds of it.

(I think you mean how many people are killed on French roads, eh?)

it was just sooo easy to sit on 160kmph on the roads there, Spain and Portugal were the same..... Nice huge highways and you were not too worried about crazy cagers. Yes they had the boot into the side of car doors if anyone got to close. got to see one biker do it That was in france.
There are alot of speed camreas but they are well advertised.
i found the tolls in france higher then portugal and france but it was worth it. for such good roads.
was never pulled over but did see quite a few police parked up.
wish we had roads like that.
If you are behind meDont ask as I am lost too.
