I used to pull up the front easily on a KMX125 and DT125 on my mates land. Sitting as far back in the seat and pulling the bars worked (an almost empty petrol tank also helped), until I flipped it (ouch). From then on I always, always kept the back break covered (as say all the hexperts anyway), just in case.Originally Posted by alarumba
Nowadays the front wheel on my bike only comes up by accident when I accelerate hard.
I don't believe that the majortiy of cage drivers would be impressed to be honest. They'd probably think, "there goes another freakin dangerous motorbike rider fuckwit posing a threat to the fabric of society and world peace" , just before they turn without any warning or indication taking out another bike that was overtaking which they hadn't bothered to look for.
I on the other hand, I think it's disgraceful behaviour and there's no place for it in a modern law abbiding society (). However I still let out a girlie titter when I see one done properly. Then again I also laugh when I see someone pull a crap one.

They were dirtbikes weren't they? The CBR is a lardass and can't pull rolling wheelies or anything fancy like that. Those dirtbikes would be a fair bit lighter, and the DT is a 2 stroke right? And would the KMX be a 2 stroke also?Originally Posted by Biff Baff
My MC19 CBR can get the nose up easy enough in first and second with a bit of 'aggressive' clutch blipping, it's all in how you position yourself.
i tried on my CBR250 but the best it got was a little 1 inch jump, and even then, I was worried I was going to snap the chain or fuk the clutch or something.. so I didn't really try. I'm still working the courage up to have a go on the 636. When I'm off it (like now), I'm well keen to give it a go, but when I'm on it, it's another story. I don't want to bin it!! I have had it up a few inches under acceleration, but then I think that if I keep accelerating, I'll do what I see in those crash movies, and flip over.. no ta.. Did a monster wheelie in a carpark on my bro's RGV250, then tried to do it again to show him, and guess what - couldn't do it :sneaky2:
A couple of years ago, I was coming back from uuup north in the cage, just past the Albany turn off going over the hill toward the city, 2 bikes came past (chick out in front on a cruiser, and a bloke on a white R1) doing about 150.. the guy slowed to about 90 and we past him again, then almost right next to us, popped up the front and fukt off at who knows what speed. Was impressed at his talents, and there wasn't any traffic around apart from the 3 of us..
I guess if you've got it, flaunt it, but don't loose it, and don't be stupid. It will definitely land you in hot doodoo with the fuzz, but still as impressive as hell. I wish I had the balls to do it, but I wouldn't generally on the open road.
Also took my CBR on Puke, coming off Castrol at full scream thinking I was doing alright, then someone on an R1 (I thunk) flew past me like I was stood still, then picked the front up and fukt off twice the speed I could do on 2 wheels.. That impressed the hell outta me..
k, rant over..![]()
you dont need to.....just pop down to Chch and i will take you for a ride....its heaps easier to do with a pilion, but you have to face backwards and no shitting ya self on my bike ya will have to wait till ya get off.Originally Posted by Sniper_CBR

My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am.
Yep, of sorts and both were indeed 2 stokes. Both bikes were actually road legal dirt bikes. Same thing, different tyres.Originally Posted by alarumba

actually, the R6 and 636 are fairly evenly matched;

and not too far off with the R1 and ZX10

Pick the right car, and you should be ok. Just don't get caught. Certain people get a kick out of seeing people wheelie. Just yesterday, I was in Martinborough, and I pulled a FEEBLE, small wheelie past a jogger, and she gave me a huge smile. Ofcouse, she could have been laughing at how small my wheelie was![]()
Young kids love'em, and boy racers.
And, from what I read from Slipstream and CSL, so do women![]()
My new wheelie pad is going to be Taranaki St, outside Contours...
