I just had a disturbing reminder of why we should all think about taking it easy. A freind of mine just sent me an email titled "Suzuki GSXR1000 crashed at 280km/hr....!!"

Horrific pics. They have basically collected all of the riders body parts and put them in a pile by the side of the road. No kidding. I hope to christ that it's a mock up, but something tells me it's not.

If your morbid fascination for such things means that you can't resist seeing them, send me a PM and I'll send them on to you, they are too graphic to post on a public forum IMHO. Take it easy people. I pity the cops, ambo's and fire fighters who have to tidy this kind of shit up.

I've seen it once, and won't ever forget it. Leathers provide no protection against sevre blunt impacts. The guy got basically diced into 15 or 16 pieces by trees.

I was driving my Crappy old (but reliable ) Toyota corolla back down to welly a few weekends back and I was around the taupo area cruising along at about 110 and out of no where four guys pass me all wheelie past. There were 2 ZX10R's one CBR1000RR 04 (I think?) and a Aprillia RSV 1000
I was just like "whoa that's the coolest thing " kind of like a bit of a pick me up on a somewhat boring drive.
