was in at Rangiora Yamaha today looking at one.
    this years model is red.
I asked about other colours, and was told that all they could get was red!
But for $3999 on the road , who cares abuot looking like a honda

    ow red

I know some like the colour red but it really isn't my kind of colour

I am trying to decide which bike I should get for my first bike. (just came across the CBR 125 by chance, it looks pretty neat though you can't beat the value of the Scorpio!). It will mainly be used for commuting between work/uni/home in welly city and no highway is involved.

I had a look at a dark red one the other day and it looked sweet.
    If I was looking for a learner's bike I wouldn't hesitate.

I think blue is 2007 colours, lucky for me the time I got it, both were available, so I got a blue with the wheels from the red!

Even in red their not a bad looking learners bike... http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...-167335842.htm
And the black/silver graphics help. Like mentioned above though - if its not your colour then any panel shop with a good rep should be able to sort it out for you - its not like there is a lot to paint

The original Scorpios were Blue but the new model is Red. We still have one of the Blue ones left.

Yes they are classed as a learners bike. They are a good bike to learn on, for a good price.

Any bike 250cc or less can be classed as a learners bike. However, some come more highly recommended than others by those who have done their learning on them... the Scorpio is one such bike... its well recognised as a great bike to learn on

The Scorpio fits my budget quite nicely. But I am now tempted to get the CBR150 because it looks nicer
