Yea the GSF600 would be a LOT better than the GT250R. Mind you the GSF600 is no sports bike. For that money if you like nakeds. Go take a CB900 Hornet for a test ride. In most departments the 900 Hornet will out perform the GSF600 for the same price.

    blimmin Honda rider lol.
he is right though, you would be able to have some fun on the 900, touring wouldnt be a problem with a few additions, panniers etc. and the price would be about right, they have a good engine in them, its typical honda style, good reliable, strong, but not to much punch, but im sure i could get into enough trouble on a 900.

the Sv's werent too well spoken about, but i could make mine fly. its all about the rider too.
i used to give and pass alot on my old old cbr1000f. a great tour machine.

    good point felix.

the F650 was only if I was touring, I dont like trying to tour mod a road/sport bike, dont it before and it looks stupid and feels stupid. Im all for doing things once and right and depending on my outcome, ill either be for a tourer or a roadie. GT250 Hyosung was only chucked around because i can get one dirt cheap but have never known of them etc. Quite fancy the GSXR1000's K5-K7 so Ill see how we go. I used to be (a couple year ago) mad keen on RF900's, dont know why, but now for some reason when I look at them, they seem quite old & dated compared to todays bikes.
JFK's down cavandish have that special on the run out Hyo GT650R but I mean for a couple more grand you could get a way better bike that it im sure.
Not really into nakeds, they have not, despite the name, helped me in the quests over the years to win chicks over. I think a GSXR1000 K7 would do the trick, or at least I would fall head over heals for it.

overall chick pick up to bike type ratio has not been too good with nakeds but im sure a GSXR650 or 1000 K7 will do the trick, Ive heard the 1000's are pretty nuts when you get the revs up so I think if chance comes Ill settle on a 750 middle ground perhaps but hey, 1000 does sound good.
I will have to make a proper study then into the proposed chick pick up ratio to such a bike and post my findings one day.

Ha ha, nice. I think ive made up my mind people. GSXR750 or GSXR1000 K7 or K6 it will be. I think we would be fairly safe in buying these year model machines sight unseen from a dealer?

i think if you are going to be paying that sort of money for a bike you should test ride one first. just because you like the look of it does'nt mean you will like riding it. try before you buy

urrrr the whole thread is full of contradictions, but honestly, unless this is a troll, you sound like you seriously have no idea what you want. Bikes you have mentioned ranged from average 250s (hyosung) through sport tourers (f650 and gsx) through to top of the line sportbikes (gsxr thou)

Chick magnet: Ducati, no contest really.

So what? Is that not the point of finding out what you want? Im not basing my whole thesis & idea solely on what you people here are saying. I have been out, I have seen the bikes in question over the last few weeks, just a matter of seeing what the termites are saying and if there is any news that might spark interest on any of the bikes I have mentioned, ie problems etc. If you read my posts, it would be explained clearly enough for you. For the millionth time...
Im buying a F650GS if I want to go touring, Ill be probably buying a GSXR750K7 or 1000K7 if I get my new position with a company out west starting next year, which means no touring for a long time. Its simple really, all you have to do is read, and I have no idea where your 'full of contradictions' comes from.

Simple and easy, testing the waters shall we say.

Well, with a broad range like that...

Find a shop you like, and try everything they have... they'll only get suspicious after the first 3-5
