yea true, I figured it would be along those lines...

Oh and ive had many many years experience, on road and off. and to that same person, if you READ the actual posts you will find out the reasons why the particular bikes are mentioned. Reading always helps, knowledge is power!

Settling on a 750 this week, go into some talks about some see what figures they can give me, if I manage to sell some of my fender strat guitar collection, then Ill be able to probably get a 1000, fingers x, the limited edition orange one, oooooo yea

If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

It's too cheap is what's wrong with it. It's either an ex-racebike or stolen.

Or the owner has developed a P habit he's struggling to keep up with.

    Buying bikes off TardMe

Rule #1: Don't buy anything off Tard Me without getting someone to inspect it.

    Rule #2: See rule #1.

Ive bought a few bikes off trade me which have been ok but I have paid what I expected to pay for them so they have been fine, the bikes that guy has listed just seem too good, plus hes not answering questions hmmmm. rather spend my money at a dealers, get some warranty and goodies chucked in for good measure.

As a general comment, a 600cc+ bike these days will provide you with any amount of real world fun and commuting use. The thing to think about is the weight and typical riding conditions.

I wouldn't commute on my Ducati because the steering is heavy and its a bitch at low speed. But I didn't buy it to commute - its a toy and a lifes dream.

The 1000s are seductive and insanely powerful in a world where we are restricted to 110k or 50k if you are getting to work.

Personally I think the 750 class is the ideal combination of weight and power. Mind you, a mate who is used to 1k bikes has recently bought a 650 for every day purposes and is very happy.

Thanks man, Yea its my line of thought. 750 seems a good middle ground, not huge and not over revving like a 600 could be. I know a 750 is insanely fast anyhow but I mean we arent going to be driving 250km/h+ all the time, maybe abit of speed on a weekend run but in all honestly I think a 750 is more that enough BUT in saying that, the alluring sense of a 1000 is very much in the forefront of many peoples minds PLUS size wise lining them up, it fits me more being a taller lanky fello but hey all I want is a good price 750 gixxer in orange, failing that, It might have to be the special edition 1000 orange monster from haldanes as they probably would take number since new 09 stock is due in anyday now, gotta shift the 07s out!

    Don't ask us, we're idiots.

Buy what you want. You're the expert on what you want.
