    The Epic Journey

On the first day of January 2009 my wife and I are leaving Auckland for a month-long tour of New Zealand. We will be travelling two-up on my GSXR1100 (pics are on http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...ad.php?t=82361 )
We are currently practicing riding two-up, and building our tolerances for longer distances on the bike.

I am posting up a rough outline of where we will be going, so if anyone wants to meet up and ride along for part of the journey, or feels like imparting some local knowledge on subjects such as:

    **Which route to take/fun roads

    **cheap places to eat/drink

**which local attractions are worth visiting

    **best hot pools

Any advice would be much appreciated. The trip is going to be an epic journey, we are on the move most days...

What date is the wangamomona independance day ? That must be close to his time there !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !
