V Twin upgrade. Ducati or Jap?

Just thinking what I will upgrade too from my SV1000S. I prefer, like a new 2008-2009 Suzuki SV1000S sports bike but with, Suzuki and Honda both cutting supply of these bikes, means I will have to save more money and buy a Ducati 1000.
I cannot understand these two large companies not being able compete with Ducati.
In the absence of a replacement looks like I will be turning red in future, may be not a bad thing.
Maybe I will keep the SV and buy a Ducati as well. $$$$ ouch
    Forever a V-twin Fan.

Cruise over one day(Tauranga) and I'll send you out of several differing Duc's and shall give a straight up opinion on what may suit your needs.

Why a Ducati, nothing wrong with them (couldnt possibly be) but theres a host of other very desirable v2 options.

    There's a cheap ducati alternative called 848
I heard it performs very well.

japanese nothing really - suzuki meant to be releasing a new vtwin next year, but if it happens is another story.

still plenty of opinions is ducati, aprilia(rsvr), ktm, really depends if you want a full fairing bike, or a semi faired, or naked,

the rsvr is pretty much superseeded by the rsv4 that is due out next year. So might be able to get one from dealer for good price,
Ducati plenty to choose from really depends if ya want full fairing, naked, and engine size 800,900,1000+ etc.
ktm got two to choose from superduke, and the rc8.

There is some other twins around if ya think of it bmw, but don't think those are what you are wanting

no links, just rumor mill at moment, local dealer told me same thing(few months ago), and with suzuki already releasing details of some 2009 models, might not happen, meant be something a bit more sportbike releated(aka tl, than sv), but when it happens is another story
