in the end, pure talent will overcome any good bike

a good 125cc rider can slay a 600 sportbike with talent on board

a poxy old bevel drive that looks like a rat bike can too

you must love riding in NZ; britain sucks for the most part. sure, the pennines, lake district, scotland and north wales are ok but a good 2/3 of the roads are a pain in the arse with a bloody town every 10km; and that was years ago, i can't imagine what it's like now.

i couriered long distance for years there

Yep,i know a bloke with an older GSXR who takes great delight in coming across dark visored blimp suit wearing K whatever riders through the good bits and planting himself firmly within worrying distance, amazing how a bit of pressure turns a novice into a complete fuck-up.

that's a good idea, you go motard hunting and we'll just go a bit faster and watch your frustration in our mirrors!

seriously though, modern brakes with those skinny forks might make things a whole lot worse.

Called in to see Richard on Friday (with the obligatory flat white) and can report that while he's got some pretty gruesome bruising, stitches, bandages and sling, he's in good spirits. Don't think he and the Duke will be off the road for too long. Rest up and heal well my friend....
