Tank paint repairing?

Now definitly decided to learn to ride with high heels so i could have my full feet on the ground when on my bike, I still need to fix the paint on my tank after I dropped it

Don't really know where to start from...first thing would be to protect the scratch from the rust..
Any tip for a nice paint repairing..

It looks like there's just primer paint exposed, no bare metal, so rust may not be a problem (unless there is bare metal that the photo doesn't show).
If you want a quick'n'easy solution to just patch it up for now, and fix it properly with a respray later, just go to the $2 Shop or similar, and buy some red nail polish (it's acetone based, like bike paint is, just with less pigment and stuff in it). Dab some of that on, and later on you can do the sand/prime/sand/paint thing to fix it properly.

'Bon chance' with that, Xile. You don't seem to be able to buy touch-up paint any more - I tried to buy some for the VFR. I rang nearly all the car dealerships, and none of them have it, opting instead to get customers to come into their workshop for a respray, or sending them out to a painter if they don't have the facilities themselves.
There are places that will mix some up for you (like Smits, on the North Shore), or you might be lucky if Reflections have some from another recent job.

Nail polish, heaps of shades, you're bound to get one close.
Wait until you sell it to get it repaired mate.
I can get the tank sprayed for you, but you would need to locate the stickers.

Genuine ones can be expensive, from memory about $700.00 for a late model Blackbird - had to buy a set. But they can often be got after market.

A decent spray repair shop could fix that for less than $100.
Its only a graze,
A good Tradesman , panelbeater/painter could do that in a hour.
You just got to find the one who wants to do it for you

But I am sure there are some members out there who know where the Real tradesmen are.
Not the"" do it in the weekend "" back yarders
or the ""here I do it as a perk"" wana be painters,
Na, Go get a quote from a paint and panel shop that does colour matching small repairs.
Real professionals are not always exspensive as many would want you to believe.
