    Honda strange accessories

I heard a very interesting story on Sunday.

A certain Honda has a "windscreen wiper" on the oil sight level window. Can someone please tell me if it is normal for all sports bikes to have one of these?

My current bike doesn't and it's a Honda, though not a "sports bike."

My GSX-250 didn't have one, either. In fact I've never seen on. And I've no idea what good one would be.

Can't say for sure but sounds like someone's telling porkies to me.

All the Hondas I've owned have had dipsticks so no sight glasses to be seen so I couldn't comment on this story.

Bugger I thought I could market the concept to Harley Davidson for all the old short sighted riders of their bikes

What, all the dipsticks you've known have owned Suzukis with sight glasses?

If its a Honda it would have to be a Gold Wing or Rune or something like that.

Hmmm.... I refuse to answer this question on the grounds I would get way too much grief.

My CB1300's engine has it. Very nicely engineered it is too. I don't know how I ever lived without it.

    How convenient.
When I pulled my clutch cover off to bog up the cracks, I did take the time to clean the inside of the sight glass with brake cleaner and cotton buds, It's amazing how much crud builds up on it, and the shiny chrome (plastic?) mirrordoofer behind it. It's now much easier to see the oil level at a glance.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

You mean there are bikes out there without this essential bit of equipment.? I mean gosh its as essencial as the nifty zippy lill spring clips on the luggage carrier of a scooter

I'll go there........Every Honda I've seen has a dipst... Your right it's far to easy

I think the person that told you that belives that oil companys have invented little people that live in you engine and clean it with soft cloths every time you ride

You've got to love Honda riders, there needs are far greater than anyone else's aye

    Obviously a location specific requirement...

    Rather than "their"...
