Yeah go in rookies we can see where you came easier then.

How is everyone getting to Matata. It's about a 4hr journey. I remember setting off 0430 from AK to get there for 0830 for the kids sign in I was knackered before I started so I intend staying down there the friday night this time. Anyone else?

You only need two tools in life - WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.
And now a third thing a bloody big gun to shoot theives with!

4 Stroke...Rookies I think not. You go good and Matata would suit you down to the ground. You'd be in the top 25% of clubbies.

Yes, Andy the Price family are going good . Steve has a new KTM 250 six days that he loves. He's also been riding plenty (Napier 6 hours, nat enduro series etc etc) I beat him last year in the GNCC but he's charging this year thats for sure.
It's neat that you can have this competitive thing and you meet some really neat people in our sport.

Matata is totally different from Woodhill. In fact every round is quite unique and people do better at different locations. I freakin hate Maddocks Park but love Waimiha. Tokoroa was best.

g'day ktmboy, just curious how do you reckon the GNCC's would compare to say the Woodhill TTR enduro, sounds like they're a bunch of fun.

A bit more fast and furious as you are really racing the whole time. But then the race is only 2 hours long so you don't get very much time on the bike($55 for 2 hours).
The track at Matata is a mixture of Farm and forest. There are a couple of stoney creeks to cross and someone always takes a dunk.
The forest tracks are cool but if it's raining then watch out as some of the areas are Eucalyptus plantations and the ground foliage becomes like banana skins to ride on.
2 years ago and I wiped out 5 times on one 100 metre slight up hill track. Front wheel just disappeared.
A lot faster and rougher than Woodhill and your body gets a bit more beaten.
