Only popping down to the gate!

Last Friday night I went for a quick fang down to the gate on my bucket, had the normal protective gear on , Tee shirt , jeans and slippers. Unfortunatly I didnt make it back. It was the start of a pretty interesting weekend that involved a visit to th 24 hour doctor then A&E got up sat morming bright and early for surgery. There were 14 bits of 10mm chip jammed into my elbow. We didnt get to go to Greymouth, I spend all Labour weekend in hospital, and the boss was just a bit cross with me. Bit of a lesson for us all maybe. The Xray shows the gravel they couldnt get out at the 24hr place. Dont wank on about how stupid I am, I have a wife for that.

Wear your Shit I didnt even go out the front gate !!

Ouch! Must've been quite literally a "quick fang" to nail yourself that much!

To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

The thought of how they get the gravel out makes me cringe!

Does it involve long-nosed tweezers and plenty of iodine/dettol and no local anesthetic?
