really any roads in this area are worth a lap or two... I can get hours of enjoyment in them there hills without leaving the area 200 - 300kms laps easy or just go exploring![]()
State Hwy 2 to Paeroa - mint.
The Waikato expressway - double lanes each way, near new perfect surface, and never, ever, ever has a copper on it.
Let us know how you get on.
Just surf around one of those big roundabouts for an hour. Did that the other day at an auck motorway on/off ramp. Haha suckas look im having fun.
Yep, the curvy back roads between Cambridge and Matamata make for a brilliant ride. Cambridge - Hautapu - Tauwhare - Scotsmans Valley - Walton - Richmond Downs and into Matamata. Grab a coffee at Workmans Cafe (kinda boring name but the food and coffee are awesome!) Around Richmond Downs, drop down into one side of a valley and glide up the other side to be greeted at the top by postcard views of the Kaimais - magic! The Ykato offers heaps of happy riding.
Also my favourite Sunday afternoon spin - New Plymouth to Mokau via Mt Messenger.
