I loose my keys....ALL THE TIME. Any keys...house keys, car keys, bike keys. Im an anti-key person. My solution for bike keys is clip the straps of my helmet together with the key.

    1. get all rugged up and then realise that i have forgotten to get my keys out (gloves off, jacket opened, jacket shut, gloves on).
    2. Take off sunnies to put helmet on, leave sunnies on seat, get on and ride away. Its amazing how sunnies can go missing even if you get back in 3 minutes.

I used to put my wallet in my backpack, every time I fill up I had to take off both gloves struggle out of my back pack and find my wallet to pay.

started putting wallet in pocket of riding pants, first time I put it my the left side, only take off right glove when filling up! so have to take off both gloves again to get said wallet out of pocket, minor I know but annoying none the less.

Wallet now lives in right hand front pants pocket.

One of the instructers I used told me to ALWAYS use the key only - never the kill switch.

Reason is, everything stays live (headlight on, etc) if you only use the switch. So you should only use it in an emergency.

    Apparently.

Speaking of keys, one of my annoying habits is to unlock the rear pliion to get into the space there (you can fit lunch if you use a plastic bag between the GPS unit and the tools), anyhow, five minutes later, after checking every pocket for the frikking keys I'll discover them where I left them, in the lock for the pillion seat.

    That's not the dumb thing.

The dumb thing is I do it EVERY TIME.
It’s diametrically opposed to the sanitised existence of the Lemmings around me in the Dilbert Cartoon hell I live in; it’s life at full volume, perfect colour with high resolution and 10,000 watts of amplification.

Go to house to get bike key only to find the house all locked up.
Get bike key go back to garage & garage all locked up ...feck it !.

i'm just paranoid of people steeling my shit !.

It can be quite good there though... especially when pulled over for the at a checkpoint and the bike is blocking the road...

Takes ages to get the glubs off and the backpack open...
