Can't remember who said it here but it's stuck in my mind ever since. Some advice to new motorcyclists. "Be prepared to meet a lot of people who are going to die."

    RIP fellow riders.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Yeah, that's the play, Hitcher. Shit happens. And if you spend your days worrying about what sort of shit might happen next you may as well stay in bed till the shit happens.

Righto, Generally I avoid these threads, I don't claim or attribute any affinity (false or otherwise) to people just for riding a bike, However I picked up today's paper and as I expected Lance was listed in the death notices, So it is who I thought.

Lance Chalk was a Wanganui lad and I kicked around with him as a kid, Lost track of him in his early 20's, I moved to Aussie and from what I have been told he moved to the Corromandel.

Great guy, Sadly missed. Funeral to be held tomorrow (Friday)
