Oh, and that you have a new kick lever...I lost sleep over not being able to help there.
Disclaimer: sarcasm unintended. Post for humour's sake. Glad that you are back and two-wheeled again.
Weeeeeel I haven't put the lovely decals on yet cos I wanted to make sure the tank wasn't gonna get beaten up anymore! I think it's safe to do it now.

Today though, I rode her to our new whare where she will be able to live in her own car port and be treated with TLC. In fact I can even park her in the backyard!! She is caked in heavy dust and dirt and needs a really good clean!

She is such a great little bike, after a few dozen goes at starting her she spluttered into life and didn't miss a beat (apart from when she stopped cos I'd turned the fuel cock to off - ooopss!!!)! I pumped the tyres up and rode her sedately out home. Soon I'll be able to tootle along to the Wednesday nights rides and get my riding confidence back up again. Yay! Yay! Yay!
Nout wrong with a good honda 250 lass! I'm a rather noisy convert myself. Be glad to see ya on a wednesday ride. Congrats on the new dwelling.

Further update - Betty is now completely road legal and I've even tootled over the Rimutakas with a mate of mine (he was on his humungus Vmax) and I commuted to work yesterday (and last Monday).

I'm slowly getting my confidence back and was able to lane split last night through all the hold-ups on the Hutt MW - I must say the drivers are quite considerate and tend to move over a little.

I also got a big wave from a cyclist on the way home yesterday and it turned out to be Bung Bung!

Ahhh always good to hear the phoenix-like transformation of a hunk of metal into an avatar of freedom. Well done one and all and long may they run!
