meh - at least its not a bullshit as this "Traction Control" most manufacturers are putting in these days. Now that is bullshit. You should be taught how to maintain traction, not have it controlled for you.

pretty soon it will not be "dad, can i borrow the car?" it will be "dad, can i borrow your key?"

Or the kids will just swap / steal their parents key for those extra ponies...oh wait...it's a ford...

We all are guilty of "borrowing" the olds car and getting it up to the tonne, difference these days is the tonne comes up quicker and there are many many more other road users to upset. My point completely eludes me, as does this empty pint gla......(trots off to fridge)

What about reversing? Or medically exempt drivers?

Have you ever tried to buy one of the new keys for any of the later cars that have the reconition chips or whatever in them. They cost a small fortune! They already make pirated copies of them so wont be long before a kid can go and buy a copy of dads key to his XR8 and be doin 250kph.

80mph is fast enough to do faily good burnout Limiting the HP would be a smarter idea i think.

The world is becoming far to safe, where is the fun in that!
