Potholes everywhere - S.H.3 Otorohonga to New Plymouth

Just a cautionary call to all out there...

Just came back from Auckland and the shite weather we have had has caused S.H. 3 to fall apart - some serious potholes out there, both directions on S.H.3 New Plymouth to Otorohonga....

Probably elsewhere too... but these ones I know of......

For the unwary out there... be careful!!!

Thanks, Patrick! We came back from Tauranga on Sunday, and the road seemed to have deteriorated from the day before

Umm the road was shithouse when I came up last Sunday, nearly got thrown on one of these monstrosities that passes for potholes on that road!

When will they spend maybe a couple of years budget on a piece of road that will last more than a few months, fuck some Roman roads are still in use! ?

    Thanks Patrick.
Was going to head up that way this weekend for a cruise.
As it happens the weathers still going to be crap so by then the potholes will be swimming pools...and I have to work Saturday now, so maybe I'll wait till the following weekend and go play 'dodge the whole hole'

I'm sure by the time the weather improves there will be lovely little patches of chip seal everywhere...all of which will be sign posted without doubt, and then will melt in the summer sun into uneven pockets of doom...

Which would be great if I had some swedish branded cartridges filled with swedish liquid gold eh Pussy!

Yep, but I may have to invest in the off road variety if the road north gets much worse!
Even in the space of a day there seemed to be more subsidence

To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded
