Do the crime, pay the time.

Even though how much I don't like people touching my bike, if they want to touch it, there's really nothing I could do. Now if they were to move my bike that's another story as I usually have my steering and disc lock on.

I am all for respecting other people's property but however, there's not alot you can do if people want to deliberately move your bike and usually there's a reason and plus, it doesn't happen often.

Now there's also bit of talk about people moving other's people's bike and dropping it. In a ideal world you would fuss up and pay for the damage as that would be the natural thing to do, but really, if nobody saw it, would you?

You might walk away with a dirty conscience or you might not, but look at all the parked cars you see that get their side mirrors smashed off by other cars. Do you see the culprit getting out their car and leaving a note of apolygy note or few quads of cash? The fact of life is, Iam not saying all but most people don't really give a toss unless you catch them redhanded.

Best advice is, don't put your bike at risk in a situation where it can be will moved or touched. And don't be surprised if it does.

Break a window or two, slash a couple tyres, Key up the paint job. Side mirrors also make handy targets. Particularly when they park in the handicap spot/bike park/ in front of fire hydrants/ where ever else they are not supposed to park and there are heaps of correct parking spaces for them.

Park smart, park proper or get what you deserve.

I know of one Principal who's car ended up on the roof of the school (care of the football team) because he parked in the handicap spot.

Perhaps suggesting the other peoples pride & joy isn't a 'real bike' wasn't such a great idea then?

    No hard feelings

I kind of thought that my humour was subtle enough but apparently it wasnt.

    Humour needs a sledgehammer approach.

I figure all the pantie wearers just can't handle the rest of the world figuring they are gay due to the bikes they ride.

As an example I know Ducati's have a huge homosexual following, Though I don't know if its because gays buy them, or owning the bike brings on the gayness.

My theory is its the latent gayness within the individual that attracts them to the Ducati in the first place, And then it bubbles to the surface.

    PS......GSX owners are wankers.

Can we exclude bevel drives from that, then again looking back i always thought there was something my old man wanted to say but never got it out, then again he did mince about at times.

If I was parked like an arsehole, obstucting the path etc then I'd accept my bike being moved. Wouldnt like it and I'd proberly thump the person if I caught them but I'd accept it anyways .. In saying that Ive had idiots jump on my bikes in the past just because they could, one psycho lady jumped on my Harley, knocked out the kickstand and dropped the thing. She was damned lucky she could run like the wind while I was picking it up..

End of the day, dont park like an idiot and theres not going to be any problems! And sure as hell dont park on the footpaths downtown anymore cause the wardens will give you extra loving for it.. (Ive talked my way out of a couple of tickets down Franklin Rd before!)

And no, I personally wouldnt move/touch someone elses bike unless its either about to be physically moved in a not too pleasant manner for some reason or if its been knocked over - in which case I'd pick it up as I would expect anyone would do for me.. If all their going to get is a fine etc then shit happens.

Admittedly I have been very tempted to pick up those god damned scooters in town from time to time and stick them just that little bit closer together - there really are some special parkers out there!!

Nothing fruity about your oldboy or the old Ducati's. Awesome bikes. When I win lotto and start my collection I even plan on getting a couple.

Touch my bike I break your face...simple

Years ago I had my old Spada 250 shifted around in the parking space once - they moved it by holding onto the plate???? Dorks! Of course they ripped it right off. Left a polite note saying terribly sorry about that I couldn't back my car out of the park so thought I'd move your bike to ensure I didn't hit it....COCK!

Yea, in that circumstance just leave some angry emo hate letter on the dudes bike tealling him it wil be removed if he leaves it there again. Bike specific signage would also be beneficial (as not every biker is a "Kiwibiker" so it could of just been ignorance).

As for touching other bikes... I've just started riding again and took the bike to work a few days ago in Botany. After work, walking to the bike I see a kid, maybe 10 years old (School Holidays)Sitting on my bike twisting the throttle pretending to ride it while Mum and Dad stood by enjoying the scene! Needless to say I was less than impressed.

GSXR owners are gentlemen and scholars, and we are also blessed with testicles the size of grapefruit. And that's fruity as it gets. But, from what I can see, the Ducati thing has merit...
It’s diametrically opposed to the sanitised existence of the Lemmings around me in the Dilbert Cartoon hell I live in; it’s life at full volume, perfect colour with high resolution and 10,000 watts of amplification.
