    Which SH, 50 or 2?

Quick question, which is the best state highway for a bike to take from Palmerston North to Napier? SH50 or SH2?
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.

Then he will really like it on 2 just past the turn off to 50 then!
That is one boring piece of road from Takapau to Waipukarau.
Whats wrong Boob? The RF liked going around corners & TLs do!

Ignore Katman, I love the twisties always have, Taranaki is full of windy back roads

What speed Internet do you have because......
You can now see the highway that you wont to drive
Need high speed Internet for best view.
not sure how to link just yet but this is the web address.
    For information about it.
    https://infoconnect.highwayinfo.govt...l-Highway.html
    and the actual videos
    http://www.virtualhighway.org.nz/
Haven't had a good look yet but what i found so far was good.
I may be slow at getting things but..... no wait I'm just slow.

2 is full of roadwrks as well, so I hear.
    Enjoy your trip!
I'd say " stop in here" but we won't be home....

    Interesting.
The most "attention getting" ride that I ever had was through that way and I was on an RF 900 too. The cross wind was unreal. Across the Takapau plains I was down to second gear, almost getting a knee down in the gusts and still getting blown across the centreline.

Boob, You convey the impression that you are a bit pressed for time on this trip, but if not, then from Waipawa north, there are at least 3 alternatives (apart from 2 and 50) that will more than satisfy any taste for corners.
I may not be as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I always was.

Can be well 'watched' though, from Tikokino south to Takapau turnoff.

Many more than that...but local knowledge to find them is a must.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
