I'm sure I followed that guy on the GN250 southbound on Johns Road on Tuesday. If it's the same guy, he was observing a half second to one second following rule behind a bloody great truck. He didn't have a shit show of seeing anything, let alone any lumps of 4 X 2 or other crap on the road. He didn't seem to have much of a clue at all. So good on 'yer for talking to the guy. He lost me in traffic, I felt like talking to him too.
In those following instances when I'm in my cage I make it a good two or three second rule so I don't run over the mess that will likely be dumped in front of me. Gives the rider a second chance, so to speak.
