Usually around CHCH most 'bikers' wave however yesterday we were out and about and only 2 people out of ?? 20 bikes actually bothered to wave! And they were sport bikes!

I wave mostly if I'm not able to - I at least Nod!

Both hubby and I noticed the lack of the friendlys yesterday!

    How Rude!!

For fake sake NC, not another waving thread! You are riding a tractor of course no one will wave to you..........they probably think you are mowing the grass verge! You need to get a life, and get back on that other thing of yours!

Their too scared to let go of the bars mate!!!

[QUOTE=NC;1765404]Well I've been "hoonin" about on the ole Sporty and I made a point to wave to all the sprot bike riders. What a bunch of snobs yah are.

Yeah I agree mate, most are a bunch of snobs, Suzuki riders are the most friendly of all though.
It probably because all other are too scared to take their hands off the handlebars, in case they bloody loose it.
They all don't ride TLS and SV and GSXRs where you can ride around any corner with with only the throttle hand on the handle bars.
You can wave like the bloody queen with the other hand never feel uncomfortable.
A nod of the head is OK for those that don't ride Suzi's.
Some bikers are paranoiac bastards though, the storm clouds pop out of their helmets when they lift the visor.
Good on you mate wave to every bastard even the harley riders, its their problem if they dont wave back, its them that thinks... hey when I get home...Am I a real arsehole like everyone thinks I am for not waving or showing any compassion to any other rider, most of them probably aren't.
They just will subconsciously feel bad about themselves and give up riding after a while.
Seriously though We all have to stick together as riders because there are enough others out there giving all us a bad name.
    Bikers stay united I say...

Not everyone who rides a bike waves to their fellow riders as we are all individuals with all different personalities. I always wave to anyone I see coming towards me on 2 wheels even Harley riders and if they dont wave back then i just say to myself well i mustn't have been worth waving at and just look for the next bike coming my way hoping to get a wave from them. I ride a sports bike and if i had of seen you i would have waved. Just like that.

    Hey!!!
    I've got a great idea!!!
Why don't we come up with a KiwiBiker wave so we can recognise each other when we're out riding?

I have to agree with Duke Girl, I am not going stereotype any type of motorcycle rider. I ride a Bandit 250, I am a wave whore, and wave at anyone, no exceptions, (except scooter riders of course, dont want them thinking they are spesh!). I tend to get a mixed bag of riders who wave back, some on Harleys do, some on sports bikes dont.

What a laugh this thead! Dirtbikers always stop and have chat when we meet,
and pighunters, dope plot tenders, possumers and farmers. a few weeks back I borrowed a sporty to do a coro loop- and yes the only people who returned my wave were farmers on tractors!
Retired- just some guy with a few bikes......
