    Mentor --> confidence

    I went for a ride last week with one of the mentors and i must say it really added to the learning curve. I can really recommend it.

    The thing I found the most useful was the 'on-site' and 'immeidate' feedback. We went through a couple of twisties and took turns leading - it gave me a feel of speeds, lines and all that - and it also gave the mentor a chance to look at my lines etc.

    It really helped to get tips without the usual BS and without all the fan-fare!

    Looking back i think its important to actually think what you want from a mentor. For me it's about getting inputs/comments about where I'm gettting into (potentially) bad habits for my level of skill.

    I'll defininately keep using the mentor

    Thanks KB for setting this up -

    Good to hear this sort of feedback.
    This is the sort of thing that the system was set up for in the first (second?) place. To give some guidance and basic help.
    Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

    Goodstuff. I am posting this in a (not so) stealthy attempt to get my post count high enough so I can PM one, without getting the dreaded "Your post count isn't high enough to use the Private Message system"
