    Akatarawa Run

Awesome weather over the weekend and I could not resist my first decent run attemp at off road work. HAve been through the Akatarawa Regional Park by truck fro a few years now so thought that given the tracks are reasonble well groomed in there it would be a good location to try out the skills I have been practising on various short runs and beaches.

Was much slower that I thought I'd be. Funny how you view obstacles differently when in/on a different vehicle. Soemthings were easier onthe bike, others harder.

It was a great learning curve for, one that left me knackered by the end of the 28Km trail, but buzzing for the sense of achievement.

Anyone in Kapiti/Wellington fancy a ride sometime?

Was down there 2 weekends ago. Stayed overnight at Orange hut. Almost had to stay an extra night as the rivers came up. Awesome place.......

I strip the bike down and put nobs on though.

    A bit damp in places.

This aint me by the way
