    Yes.
Although I haven't worked out if I'm bored widdit, or just 'unenamoured' with it needing some TLC. Got a lift with #2 today instead of riding (still groggy from the droooogz I took last night) - that definitely wasn't boring, but pissed me off nearly as much as the VFR did yesterday.

Wonder how I can break this to the vifferbabe.... I've already told her I want a Ducati, but she's talking about Yurp, and Orstrylyer, and how we can fly to Londinium for only $500 return, and LA for only $330...
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Should I post the YouTube link - bloody excellent value that YouTube business. The best part is all the songs that were really bad in the 80's now look even worse, but it's on YT, and therefore its cool again. Except that ABBA bullshit. The 80's sucked because of all the stupid shore girls who would get pissed on San Bernadino and insist on ABBA being played...

Geez what a waste! With $500 you could buy a Ducati ... footpeg, or brake lever, or something. Or maybe a Casey Stoner T shirt.

    SV650 petrol use

Mate you need to get 250cc and under fourstroke to save petrol.
My 250 honda goes forever on a tankful, like 1 litre for 1 1/2 hours hooning.
the SV1000 would use 10 times that, but about 10 times the acceleration.
Damn good choice of bike with that SV650
No wonder so many guys race them.
You should come for a ride and see if you can keep up with the SV1000.

yep that was my excuse for getting back into bikes after 15 years of abstinence. With a 100km commute each day it adds up.

I am getting 5 l /100km from the Hornet if I ride semi legally and riding hard it goes up to mid 6's. I am really stoked with that, half of the Caldina GT-T I normally used (10l /100km). in saying that a modern euro diesel figures take the shine off it, but that is a lot of money to stump up with for a commuter vehicle.

the tyres have done 3000km and still look like new.

Must admit that I am now using the gas I am saving in recreational riding, but having hell of a good time doing it.

If I had known a well used large bike consumes tyres at that rate when you can get 30,000-35,000kms on average out of a set of hoops on a car I would have thought twice about getting back into biking. It's keeping me broke LOL

You are a disgrace to motorcyclists in this world.

All my friends and I have two way radios in our helmets. I have a push to talk button on the bars. I sing to myself all the time. It usually makes no sense (repeating the same few lines over and over, jumping between songs, etc.) and I'm a terrible singer.

One time I had the PTT switch malfunction and stick on.

My friends were treated to ~30min. of me butchering a few songs before someone chimed in and told me to shut the fuck up. Tinted face sheilds are amazing when you don't want anybody to see how red you have turned.

Given equivelant amounts of caging and riding I still spend more money on the bike. Maintenance costs on modern sport bikes SUCKS if you do everything to the letter.

Yeh that would be St Satan. That is riding up to a steady 120 on open rd and a small amount of city driving. I checked the economy last week after some more spirited open throttle riding around the hills and still only 6.2. I'm pretty happy with that aspect of the bike thanks mainly to the FI I guess

On our wed night cruise last week at the tail end of a sportsbike group all I could smell was unburnt fuel ....

Europe is over-rated (full of sleazy Dagos and frogs (excuse the racist slur)). And I would have written Germans in there as well, but I met this really hot German waitress last night (while I was having dinner with MadBikeBabe) who made me rethink all the mean thoughts I've had about Germans. We're in Aus as I write this, and I spend all day most days thinking about how this would be a better place to live, but I'm counting down the hours until we fly back home to the house, the Gixer, and the pooch). London is a shithole. As is Cairns (as I have discovered), but Port Douglas and Palm Cove are okay if you're into 35 degree heat and bikini clad babes. But I've been without scoot for almost 2 weeks... 2 whole weeks.

Hey I have just bought a ZZR1100 and I get 281 k's per tank from full to when the fuel lights go on which is not bad going considering the engine size and that costs me about $26....but boy I love the power LOL

[QUOTE=madbikeboy; forum, and no idea or statement is bad or can be mocked. So, here goes. Am I the only one who sings (badly, I might add) to myself as I ride...? "I'm a cowboy, on this steel horse IIIIIII riiiiiiiiideeeeeeeeeeeeeee, I'm a cowboy, wanted deeeeeaaaadddd or aliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiivvvvvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeee eeee!!!"[/QUOTE]

Get a different zorst on it brother and you'll wanna listen to that instead
