father in law got an 08 busa end of last year.

the 08 busa is more of an update, than an upgrade, its the engine lump, frame, as pervious model

So new things are, new look fairings, some fancy wanky electronics, which are not really worth it, radial brakes, and a few small tweaks, but nogthing to fantistic.

If you like look of new one go for it, but if perfer the old look, would be far better throwing a bit of money at your old one instead. I much perfer the look of the orginal busa.

Shrug handy, but minor, you can get enough get an aftermarket one for your current busa for about $200-$300

Yeah father in laws got a full yoshi race system, pc3. Next step is some ohlins springy bits for hit fat arse.

But honstly, the zx14/busa simlar bikes, honstly ya wouldn't really notice much difference, between the both get which one turns you on the most,

both much and muchness, tons of aftermarket parts from usa for both (some of your current mods on your busa might fit on the new one) which can help with some costs. If or keep what ya got, and customise/personalise it a bit,

I perfer the motor feeling on the father in laws old 04 busa, compared to the new 08 one, feels alot more raw aggressive,

Thats pretty much sums it up IMO re the new Bus. I rode the 06 before buying my 14 and then rode the 08 after I sold my 14. I didnt notice 'much' difference.

In fact I didnt notice much difference between the 14 and the Bus!
Both awesome rides. It will come down to which one cooks your mince.

My old man had both bikes, the old bus and the zx14, the zx felt quicker for sure and handled better. Not sure about the new busa but pretty much go for whatever you think looks the best id say!

I had the ZXr1400, it was nimble for a big bike, it was comfy on the SI tour, it was fast as fuck when you opened it up, or it was a pussy cat when you wanted it to be. I cant and never have been able to fault the bike in any way.
    Its the perfect superbike.

Before I threw more money at my ZX and kept it, I test rode both the 06 Busa and the ZX14. Both are great bikes but the Bus was too low slung for me, like riding a plank. It just didn't suit me, not the bikes fault. The ZX14 was my preference because it fitted. I couldn't tell much difference in performance but the Kwak still has 'the step' familiar to big bore K owners.

It will come down to what you prefer and what fits you but get a decent test ride on both.
