A few bonuses to consider with a Sprint...

Plenty of grunt without having to open her right up.
Easy on fuel - mine returns 65 mpg under most riding conditions.
Not as 'lay on the tank' as many sports bikes.
    Not a Jappa

Pick Me , I have not heard one mention of a 'Blackbird' , nice alround bike, plenty of horses to use as you see fit , and a nice tourer, P.s The RF900 is a good bike too .so is the zzr(heaps of low down grunt , but a weak gearbox , in my opinion).

For your modest size, keep away from the Ducati ST in the briar patch, its much too nice.... Dunno about the grey though....

I know you don't want to mess anyone around but that Sprint in Wangavegas would be worth a look. Good suggestion and not Jap.......

Or, maybe not your style after the HD but very good reputation and performance, plus kinda interesting...

Ive got a RF900 and would say my only criticism is ... are the pillion pegs.

I remember it being quoted on here some time ago - that an RF pillion needs to be a 4ft Asian with short legs! (can't remember who actually said it though!)..

Good luck on your new bike buying!
May the fleas of a thousand camels infest the crotch of the person who screws up your day and may their arms be to short too scratch...

    Triumph Sprint for sure.

But having owned a RF900 from new.......very impressive, not flash, but totally functional.

But I'd still go with a Triumph, but I'm biased.
Am kinda looking for a Sprint myself to add to the fleet.

RF900 is heavy on ya's waist via weight leaning forward some what....an ya's wifes better have legs only as long as her knee's...kawa...or fj or if into naked look try out the XJR....all sit nearly upright...longer depth for pillys legs rather than cramping up....

Nobody mention the Hornet yet? Fits the criteria and has better pillion accommodations than a CB1300, or a Blackbird.

Hey mate, whatever you do, you just have to take a well setup GSX1400 for a run. Honestly, you will never ever ever look back
