    Chch to Kaikoura

I'm heading up there Saturday 1st Nov leaving Chch around 9-10am,with me partner taking the car up.If anyone else is biking up that way and wants to meet up or needs gear carried that far, gizza yell!I ride like a shelia(sometimes)so (well most of the time)lol, but will have a stopover in Cheviot for a feed and fuel up and let the witch catch up then all the way to Kaikoura!I'll be heading back the next day,not sure what time but should be back in Chch in daylight hours.Cheers!

Make a 1 - 2 hr trip sound like a mission mate....that TL will eat up the hundleys even riding side saddle. Are you from up there? We use to live there in the 80's then I left to see the world and live a bit. Not much there when I was a kid. But heaps of good touring roads away from there

I thought the inland route was still closed while they clean up after all of those slips. Anybody know any different?

Yeesh that place cost a fortune, well it did a couple of years back when we stopped there and had a coffee on the way back from Blenheim, had a look at the accommodation and nearly passed out at the prices. Tourist market not for the locals.
Its not the destination that is important its the journey.
