Go on your own or with a small group...great place but it's a technical ride and you need full concentration without the distraction of other bees buzzing around you....has taken too many lives...care recommended.

    Auckland > Clevedon > Kaiaua > Kopu >Thames > Coromandel > Whitianga > Tairua > Hikuai > Kopu. That's the "short" version.

Get the superb book "NZ Motorcycle Atlas" and look it up in there too. It's the only book for NZ you'll ever need: http://www.aucklandmapcentre.co.nz/d...cycle_atlas.sm

If you ever decide to do it, I live in Coro and am normally available if you ever strike trouble and if you're really lucky; I might ride with you from Thames and take you for a gentle guided tour. Weekdays are best due to the absence of traffic, but weekends are generally ok too.

If you click on "new posts" and then go to about page 3 or 4 at the top of the screen there are pictures (video's) click on them. Theres 3 pretty good video's done from helmet cam of part of the loop.

Life would be so much easier if you addressed questions with a simple answer.

Oh, yeah. Nearly forgot. I've got two vids up on youtube covering the Coro hill (best part) and some of the roads getting there. Search under username beyondkiwi
